We call our first service on Sundays “Traditional” because in music and service style, our early service is classic Lutheran. However, this isn’t your grandmother’s worship service. With a more relaxed and intimate setting, worship is comfortable and sincere without trying too hard.
For those that speak Lutheran, this service uses hymns and liturgy from the Evangelical Lutheran Worship (ELW), a newer worship resource of the ELCA.
This service includes everything you would expect from a worship service, such as an engaging sermon (seriously, they’re good!), prayers, and Communion.
This service is designed to be open, comfortable, and accessible to varied ages and life situations, with enough consistency to be sacred and enough change to be engaging. This is a good place to explore and strengthen your spirituality in a community seeking to follow Jesus.
Worship at 10:30 is stripped down to the essentials led with professional musicians playing Jazz music, or whatever other style fits the mood. The music alone makes this service worth checking out (seriously, they are good!).
This non-traditional service includes what you’d expect from a worship experience, but we might do it a little differently – because we’re discovering new ways to do things. Don’t be afraid to participate in a discussion after the sermon or join in during kids’ time.
Child care available: Check out our FAQs for details. We love families and crazy loud kids (because have them) and encourage families to worship together, especially during the last half of Jazz Service for Communion and kids’ time.
