Where do we park on Sundays?

On Sunday mornings, there are several parking options available. Parking is permitted at the parking lot between Greenleaf Apartments and SpringHouse Ministry Center.  You may park without a permit at any spot that doesn’t have signs and any spot labeled for SpringHouse Ministry Center (please don’t park in “24 hour reserved” spots, or those labeled for retail). Some street parking is available, as well as the lot at TruStone Financial (2817 Lyndale Ave. S.). There also also a City of Minneapolis pay lot behind the Jungle Theater that can be accessed from Lyndale Ave (just north of Lake Street), Garfield Ave., or Lake Street.

For more information and where to park during other times, please visit our Parking Details page.

Are there bike racks?

Yep, we’ve got many bikers and the bike rack is on the west side of the building, north of the main doors.

What about bus riders?

Located near the intersections of 28th and Lyndale, and Lake and Lyndale, we’re in an easy location for bus riders. The #4 bus (and a few others) travels on Lyndale regularly. The #21 (and still more others) travels on Lake Street. Consult Metro Transit for the full scoop.

Do you have a church bus?

Sadly, we don’t.  Occasionally, we’re able to help people arrange rides. Check with the church office (612-872-4650) if this is needed.

Are there restaurants and coffee shops near the church?

Yes! Many. Here are just a few, all within a few blocks of SpringHouse Ministry Center:

  • Bob’s Java Hut – This café is a favorite hangout for neighbors and motorcyclists.
  • Bryant Lake Bowl – Part restaurant, part bar, part theater, part bowling alley.
  • Common Roots Café – Organic, locally grown, fair trade coffee, bagels and meals.
  • French Meadow – This local landmark café and deli is famous for its baked goods.
  • Galactic Pizza – Find out what “sustainable” and “pizza” have in common.
  • Herkimer – The neighborhood’s only true brew pub serves meals, too.
  • I Am Coffee – Coffee and bubble tea, just a half block from the Ministry Center.
  • It’s Greek to Me – Authentic Greek cuisine in a family-owned restaurant.
  • Lyndale Tap House – Breakfast, brews and other bar fare.
  • Muddy Waters – A great place for coffee and pastries, and for meals too.
  • Subway – The ubiquitous sandwich shop, also just a block away.
  • The Egg and I – Famous for breakfast, and open for lunch too.

Really, this is just the short list. There is a wealth, in a variety of styles and price ranges.
